Trikinetic Massage Therapy

I had a great first experience with Blake today! Blake really listened to me and was curious and empathetic in understanding what I needed. His treatment was knowledgeable, precise and helped me move in the right direction with an issue that is becoming chronic. I felt well taken care of and will be back.

Jacob is very kind and seems genuinely interested in helping his clients. However, my experience during our acupuncture session felt unclear and uncomfortable at timesRight from the start, there wasn’t much of an introduction — no handshake or orientation — and the assessment felt invasive and caused a lot of discomfort. At one stage, I wasn’t sure whether we were still assessing or had already begun treating. . I apparently booked for qigong but we talked about it before starting and we were on the same page about acupuncture being the best way to approach it. During the session, he repeatedly asked me to tell him if he had “the spot” while poking around in my muscles to see if they were tender. I eventually asked why he was relying on my pain response rather than working with acupuncture points, as other practitioners I’ve seen have done. It made me feel like I had to guide him rather than using his knowledge and intuition of his profession. He also had to rely on my feedback and flinching (from pain) to determine placement of the needles when already inserted rather than leading the process himself. Partway through the session, I heard heavy breathing behind me, and only after asking what he was doing did he tell me he was practicing Qigong. He also began asking questions that seemed intended to encourage somatic release, but this wasn’t discussed beforehand, and I would have appreciated being asked if that was something I wanted to explore. After the session, I felt unusually sore, shaky, and dissociated. I’ve had many wonderful acupuncture experiences with other practitioners and am very energy-aware, so I know not everyone will respond the same way. His style is simply very different from what I’m used to, and I wish I had been more informed about his approach before booking. I’m sharing my experience here not to harm his practice, but because the energetic work felt quite strong without enough communication, grounding, or clarity for me personally. With clearer explanations, stronger consent-based practice, and more intuitive development, I believe the experience could feel much safer and more supportive for clients like myself.

I cannot recommend Jacob enough! I have a high-stress job, and his treatments are essential for helping me calm down and find balance. He's personable, compassionate, and a great listener in a truly calm environment. I was so pleased with my own results that I convinced my husband to see Jacob for the chronic back pain he's had since a car accident.We are both very grateful for his expertise!

The team here is incredible! Highly recommend Josh Borlase for massage. He is really attuned to his clients and he always makes sure that I felt comfortable through the whole session. I also have been going to Jacob Larmour for acupuncture/qi gong I have really enjoyed that combo of treatments he offers.

I had a wonderful experience with Masami. She is very knowledgeable, attentive, and truly cares about her clients. She took the time to understand my concerns and gave me one of the most relaxing and effective massages I’ve ever had. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and with much less tension. I highly recommend Masami if you’re looking for someone professional, gentle, and skilled. I will definitely be coming back!
