Spectrum Medical (NOT A WALK IN CLINIC)

Despite some negative feedback, I want to emphasize that the clinical team is highly proficient in the services they provide. The receptionist and MOA are knowledgeable, friendly, and do their best to accommodate requests, even within the constraints they face. It's important for patients to understand that there are rules in place, and walk-ins must be requested and booked on the same day, as only limited space is available. The nurse is extremely competent in her role and acts as the first point of contact before seeing the doctor. This process is efficient and helps save valuable time for everyone. She is attentive, compassionate, and thorough in her documentation, ensuring that all necessary information is noted. When I met with Dr. Joneson, it was a smooth process of reviewing details and discussing the next steps for my care. While the healthcare system has its limitations, the team can only work within those boundaries. Nonetheless, this team functions exceptionally well together, which makes the experience comfortable and reassuring.

Today my friend and i came into the clinic as one of us asked to use the bathroom as the tim hortons bathroom was disgusting and there were many girls using the bathroom and we were in a rush. Trust me when i say we drove over to see other places in the area if we could use their washroom and they also said no or were closed. My friend kindly asked to use your washroom and i went with her because she had never been to the clinic and was nervous. Never did the receptionist say that the both of us could not use the washroom. If she did i would have stayed outside. There was also no one or nothing specifying in the washroom to not open the cupboard. I cracked it open and closed it right after but did not touch or move anything in it, as i didn’t know if i could open it or not. The toilet was flushed before leaving the bathroom. While we were in the bathroom an employee started banging on the door yelling at us to get out while the washroom was still in use. Keep in mind we were in there for about 4 min max. While getting mad she told us that i had “snuck in” yet she never said one person could go in and didn’t say anything while i went with her. When we got out the receptionist continued to “school us” and get mad at us when we had no clue how what we did was so wrong and unacceptable. This was both of our first times going in there. This was the experience we got. I’m not saying that the doctor or other staff members were bad in anyway, yet this was a horrible first impression.

Best clinic, I always feel safe & heard here no matter what I’m going through, Dr Joneson is a great doctor and the staff are lovely . I just had a speculum exam with Dr Lindenbach and she was wonderful and made me feel so comfortable through the whole process . I highly recommend this clinic 🤍

My father had just died suddenly and we were in the midst of relocating back to chilliwack from the sunshine coast, listing property, selling sailiboat. It had been a stressful time. The grief process in my case meant that blood pressure had skyrocketted to the unsafe level of 215/180. I was rightfully concerned and advocating for some basic care. After full panels, ER staff had organized a range of tests-- ecg, ecco, holter test etc, as i didn't have a primary physician. A week previous, I had come to this clinic at 7am for an appointment and Dr Jonason had seemed reasonably professional. The receptionist empathized at how challenging it is for moms with young children to make it work to line up for appointments from 7-8am while trying to ease them into new school programs, with drop offs overlapping, and she had invited me to come back as a new patient during regular clinic hours. He had passed me some information on Hospice. - - - Dr Jonason, thank you for responding to this Google review from several months back. For you have reminded me to indeed register a formal conplaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons. A dear friend and old housemate from 20 years back in fact now sits on the College Board as a Director, and she'll guide me through the complaint process. - - - You did indeed call the police. I had asked you to call an ambulance and you refused. Your nursetold you that my blood pressure read was 125/80, when moments later in the ambulance it was 185/141 My conversation with the constables was productive. They helped me retreive my water bottle from my car and graciously stayed with me until the ambulance arrived. I have all of the reports and documents, including the blood pressure read from the paramedic that was more than 60 points higher than your nurse, minutes earlier. My dad was a nurse. I think that's what hit me so hard that day. The experience I recieved in your office was deplorable. I wasn't demanding an appointment. I was a person in medical distress needing some basic human decency, and i was taken aback when you instructed your receptionist to NOT call an ambulance. The police and paramedics did give appropriate care when you failed to do so. The rough way I was treated by your nurse was unnecessary and unacceptable. I question that in your google reviews you feel at liberty to share personal medical information publicly. I will include this Google review as part of my complaint to the College. - - - I hope you and your staff get the mentorship and training you need to serve in a safer, more appropriate way going forward. If running a tanning salon as it seems you may now be doing, is better aligned with your focus I think thats a great pivot. I would never recommend this clinic for actual medical care.

AMAZING! The care we recieved today was wonderful! We lost our beloved family Dr due to medical issue last year and have been with out since. We had a medical issue pop up that needed to be taken care of right away and they fit us in. The staff are pleasant and the office is bright and welcoming. Dr Joneson and his Nurse took great care of us today and we are very thankful. We appreciate you all. Thank you again!
