Diana Lam was incredible. She was caring and very professional. She perfectly prepared the bed ready for a pregnancy massage and asked me about the level of pressure. Her hands are magical. They relax exactly where they need to relax. Strong deep tissue massage. Highly recommended, pregnant and non pregnant people ! :) I will be back. I can’t wait for the feet and scalp massage.

I get massages every other week due to chronic neck pain, and this was easily the worst massage I’ve ever had. I clearly explained my neck pain and what caused it at the beginning of the appointment. The RMT (Aeri Kim) did not ask any follow-up questions or ask how I wanted the session to be structured. I specifically requested upper-back work and at least the last 10 minutes focused on my neck. There was almost no actual massage. Most of the session consisted of random poking motions that did not feel therapeutic at all. My upper back was barely worked on, and my neck was only massaged a few times near the end. Large portions of the appointment were spent with no pressure at all, just holding my head. I was never asked if the pressure was okay. There was no communication throughout the session. On top of that, the therapist’s hair was left untied and repeatedly fell onto my face, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I considered walking out halfway through but stayed, hoping it would improve. Unfortunately, it didn’t. When the session ended, I felt absolutely no difference and exactly the same as when I started. I’ve emailed management about this experience and am waiting to for their response.

Reta @ Soma Studio is truly the best! She always tailors the session to the areas on my body that need the most attention and consistently checks in during the treatment. She's also just a wonderful human and I always look forward to my appointments with her.

The helpers there were kind and listened to what my body needed. When I had a massage, it helped my muscles feel less tight and more loose and happy. The room was quiet and made me feel peaceful while I rested. They also do other things like acupuncture and wellness help to make you feel even better. After my visit I felt lighter and not so tired. I would tell my family and my friends to go there if they want to feel good and relaxed too.

I’ve been seeing Delina Somani at Soma Burnaby for several months and I can’t say enough good things about both her and the clinic. Soma Burnaby itself is beautiful and welcoming — free underground parking is a huge bonus, and the little touches like hot tea and filtered water in the waiting area immediately make you feel cared for. Delina is an exceptional RMT. She has a rare ability to combine true rehabilitation-style massage with comfort, so it feels both deeply relaxing and genuinely effective. It’s almost like a mini spa experience, but with a massage that actually addresses and fixes the issues you’re dealing with. I always leave feeling better in my body, not just relaxed. She’s also a lovely person — kind, attentive, and very intuitive about what you need. Everyone I’ve encountered at Soma Burnaby has been respectful, professional, and genuinely good at what they do. The overall energy of the place is calm, caring, and competent. Highly recommend Soma Burnaby, and especially Delina, if you’re looking for real therapeutic work in a beautiful, supportive environment. PS: the black cherry tea is soooo good!
