I can't say enough good about my very positive experience at Sage. I had literally given up on life after decades of active alcoholism. This was do or die so as terrified as I was I decided I needed to do something drastic and get my life in order. Sage was amazing and gave me the tools I needed to live a sober life. I liked that it was a smaller facility because it enabled me to get the one on one counselling that I desperately needed. That was 3 years ago and l am in such a great place now and continue to work the program on a daily basis. I highly recommend Sage Health Centre to anyone who is struggling.
It has been almost 2 years scince I was in the program at sage. I am also almost 2 years completely clean and sober off meth and fentanyl. I lost my father and my fiance while I was in treatment here and if it wasn't for such strong and caring support from not only the staff but the other people in recovery that I got threw and completed the program. My counslers also helped to give me a place to continue my recovery journey after I left the program and from day 1 at sage to today, I am a completely different person then 8 was. I now live in my own home with my new partner, working full time in a job I love, reconnected to my family and my children and even will be starting school to become an addictions counsler myself. If it wasn't for all the things I learned and all the support and excellent direction I recieved at sage I honestly don't think I would be where I am today! I recommend this program to any one struggling with addiction of any kind! This place is the start to getting back ur life! Thank u sage for saving mine! Xoxo
Programming: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Counselling: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Accommodations: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Staff: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Food: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Atmosphere: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I had no idea what to expect when I arrived as this was my first and only time in treatment. I showed up for the 28 day program with a bit of a bad attitude and denial I had a problem. I ended up staying for the 84 day program completely on my own accord. Sage truly saved my life. My experience was great and transformative largely due to the amazing counsellors who genuinely care and guide you. All of the support staff is equally awesome always ready to lend a hand or offer encouragement. The food is healthy/delicious and the accommodations are comfortable. One of my highlights was the emphasis they put on fellowship with other clients. I built relationships that have been invaluable to my recovery journey. Sage offers a range of recovery paths, including Recovery Dharma and SMART Recovery which for me worked as stepping stones into the 12 step programs they offer. Overall I would completely recommend Sage to anyone seeking help. It truly is a place where you can find hope and direction again. If you do find yourself at Sage embrace the miracles it has to offer My tips for future clients 1. Treat the support staff with respect. Most of them are also in recovery and they will go above and beyond for you. 2. Instantly make friends with Jessy. She is the best ever. Her positivity is contagious. She’s someone you want in your corner during the emotional highs and lows of early recovery. 3. Skip breakfast on Sundays and just eat the brunch at noon. It’s delicious. 4. Sit with someone new everyday in group. Build a solid support system with other clients. 5. Save yourself the headache and assume Patricia is always right because she actually is. She knows through experience and is ridiculously knowledgeable. 6. Try and go to every non mandatory meeting at least once. Your favourite one might surprise you.
It was just over 6 years ago I checked into this facility. 6 years later I am still sober and continue to grow and learn. Was looking at the Big Book this afternoon and reading the notes and kind words that my fellow addicts wrote before I left. I remember how terrified I was when I walked in that first day. If not for the staff and fellow addicts being there with me , I would have never been successful. I speak of my time there often and have very clear memories or those defining moments while I was there. The letter burning stands out because I saw it happen in my first few days and did not have any idea what was happening or how I was ever going to get that far along in my recovery. Fast forward to my ceremony and I can almost recite my letter note for note. These things and the incredible people who shared my experience are why I’m still sober ! Thank you and I wish everyone that was there with me and any that have come since, all the best. You can do it !
I came to Sage broken and hating myself, the staff and the curriculum and all my peers there taught me how to learn to love myself and dig deep to heal my trauma and pain. I am forever grateful for Sage, if you are struggling and are ready to take the first step to a a better life I highly recommend contacting them. It changed my life and allowed me to live again, and reunited me with my beautiful daughters ❤️
